Mobile Phone Insurance

Every phone that we sell at E2Save comes with one month Phone Care insurance completely free of charge, which covers you for theft and accidental damage. Confirmation of your insurance cover and your full policy information will be emailed or posted to you within the next 14 days. Your on-going insurance cover will be charged (by Direct Debit), separately from your mobile phone bill, after your one month free insurance period is up.

Statement of demands and needs

Phone Care from E2Save meets the demands and needs of those who wish to insure their mobile phone against theft and damage. It also includes a one month free insurance period. E2Save did not provide you with a personal recommendation on this insurance product.

Name of insurer

The insurer of this policy is Aviva Insurance UK Limited. Registered in England. Registered number 99122. Registered office 8 Surrey Street, Norwich NR1 3NG. Authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. The insurance is arranged by The Carphone Warehouse.

What is covered by the policy?

In short, what's covered:

  • Theft.
  • Damage.
  • Accessories cover – If we replace your phone under this policy, we'll also replace any accessories designed to be used with the phone, up to a current retail value of £100.


and what's not:
  • For each claim that you make you must pay the excess shown on your insurance certificate.
  • Loss – you are not covered for loss of your phone.
  • Claims for theft or malicious damage unless you:
  • For theft, notify your network provider within 24 hours of discovering the incident and have your mobile service line barred;
  • In all cases, tell the police within 48 hours of discovering the incident and get a crime reference number.
  • Claims if your mobile is left unattended in a public place, or in a vehicle, unless the vehicle is securely locked and the mobile is placed out of view.
  • Claims outside the UK if you are abroad for a period of more than 60 consecutive days.
  • Accessories - We will replace accessories (any additional electrical mobile phone products bought at e2Save.com, and to be used with, the mobile phone covered by this policy) as long as they were stolen or damaged at the same time as your phone.
    We will only cover accessories that you bought from E2Save. If necessary, you must provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
  • Unauthorised calls - covers aganist mobile use without permission

Canceling your policy

You have the right to cancel your policy without charge during a period of 14 days from the day on which you receive your policy documentation. No payment will be taken before this.

If you cancel your policy, your phone will no longer be protected. You won’t be able to start the cover again in the future as we can only arrange cover for your phone when it’s new.

If you cancel your policy and have been paying by monthly Direct Debit, we’ll ask you to cancel the Direct Debit instruction.

Period of cover

Cover will start from the start date shown on your certi?cate. If you pay your premium monthly we will continue to take payments every month for this policy unless it is cancelled. You can cancel your policy at any time and cover will cease at the end of that month. No part refunds will be given.

Making a claim

  • For theft, contact your network provider within 24 hours of noticing the incident and ask them to bar your mobile service line.
  • For theft or malicious damage, report to the police within 48 hours of noticing the incident and obtain a crime reference number.

Aviva Insurance UK Limited and The Carphone Warehouse are covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service for complaints from private individuals, certain small businesses, charities and trusts. If you have complained to us and we have not been able to sort out your complaint, you may be entitled to refer it to this independent organisation. Following the complaints procedure does not affect your right to take legal action.
